JERUSALEM, March 29 (Xinhua) -- The annual International Mediterranean Tourism Market was launched on Tuesday in Israel's coastal city of Tel Aviv, the Israeli Ministry of Tourism said.
The two-day exhibition, which is the 28th version, features exhibitors from 33 countries. It was resumed in the regular format after being held virtually last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event kicked off with an official ceremony in the presence of Israel's President Isaac Herzog, Minister of Tourism Yoel Razvozov, and senior tourism officials from Israel and abroad.
Held under the theme "Bringing Tourism Back to Israel," this year's fair focuses on virtual tourism training in the post-coronavirus era, innovations in accessible tourism, and supporting entrepreneurs to set up tourism businesses.
