GOMBAK: An armed robbery suspect who used a luxury multi-purpose vehicle as a getaway car has been arrested after allegedly committing three robberies in two days.
OCPD Asst Comm Zainal Mohamed Mohamed said the arrest was made in Kajang on Saturday (Oct 9).
"The suspect, armed with a knife and whip, targets lone victims.
"He then escaped using the MPV.
"Three cases on Oct 6 and 7 have been linked to the suspect, all within the Selayang area," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Oct 13).
Losses were estimated at RM3,047.
ACP Zainal said investigations also showed that the suspect had six previous criminal and drug-related offences.
"With his arrest, we believe at least six cases within the Klang Valley have been solved," he said.
The suspect has been remanded until Oct 15 to assist in investigations.
