Aurora police are investigating a second fatal shooting that happened over the weekend, but do not believe the two shootings are connected, officials said Monday.
A 20-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday night in the 1400 block of Superior Street, Aurora police said in a news release.
Officers responded to a report of a person shot on Superior around 10 p.m. and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The man was taken to a local hospital by paramedics and he was pronounced dead a short time later, officials said.
Anyone with information about the shooting or who may have video from a home security system is asked to contact the Aurora Police Department Investigations Division at 630-256-5500.
