This advisory comes in response to recent reports highlighted by Al-Seyassah on June 6, shedding light on the risks associated with fraudulent chalet rental schemes.

       The ministry emphasized the importance of vigilance among citizens and residents to avoid falling victim to electronic fraud. Instances of fictitious chalet rentals have been identified as part of an emerging trend in fraudulent activities.

       Al-Seyassah newspaper’s front-page coverage on June 6 drew attention to what it termed as the “fictitious chalet rental mafia,” prompting authorities to urge heightened awareness and scrutiny when dealing with online rental platforms.

       Authorities have advised individuals to verify the legitimacy of rental offers thoroughly before making any financial transactions. They have also urged the public to report any suspicious activities related to fake chalet rentals to law enforcement promptly.
