KUALA LUMPUR: Padini Holdings Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with XTS Technologies Sdn Bhd and Huawei Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd for a warehouse automation solution using automated guided vehicles (AGVs) valued at RM1mil.

       Padini’s unit, Padini Dot Com Sdn Bhd, signed the agreemen with the two firms.

       XTS is a specialist in the design and build of factory automation solutions while Huawei is a global provider of information and communications technology infrastructure and smart devices.

       With the AGVs, data stored within the Huawei cloud storage system enables the trucks to pinpoint where the goods are for picking and the trucks are able to navigate their way automatically in the warehouse.
