BUTTERWORTH: A routine neighbourhood clean-up led to a gruesome discovery of a dead baby girl in a dumpster near the flats in Taman Bagan.

       The area’s Rukun Tetangga chairman and two foreign workers stumbled upon the body wrapped in a piece of cloth at 9.35am yesterday, and immediately alerted the police.North Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Noorzainy Mohd Noor said residents who have come across a pregnant woman in the vicinity or under confinement after childbirth should alert the authorities.

       “We are looking for information to help our probe.

       “We hope residents in the neighbourhood can furnish us with details,” he said.
