17 deaths; 1,107 new COVID infections

       KUWAIT CITY, July 19: Kuwait Ministry of Health Monday registered 17 coronavirus-related deaths, of them 15 not vaccinated, while recording 1,107 infections in the past 24 hours. Ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, in a statement to KUNA, said total deaths reached 2,238 and registered infections topped 386,869. He added that 1,485 people recovered in the past 24 hours to reach a total of 368,420, adding that recovery-to-infections ration was 95.23 percent. Al-Sanad said there were 322 Covid-19 patients in the intensive care units, while 16,211 people were receiving medical care. He added there were 1,144 patients in hospitals. He said total swab tests reached 3,251,302, and infection-to-swab ration was 8.99 percent. Al-Sanad said percentages of infections in Ahmadi governorate was 34, Hawally 16, Farwaniya 16, Jahra 14 and Capital 12. He called on the public to abide by health regulations including physical distancing
