It's good news for revellers at Reading Festival, with 21C expected on Sunday.
But those camping at Leeds are advised to pack warm clothes, as temperatures will drop to 10C overnight.
Met Office spokesman Grahame Madge said: "It will be a largely fine and settled weekend.
"There's very little - if any - rain in the forecast."
Officials at the weather service say it'll cool next week - prompting many to head out this weekend to make the most of it.
HOTTER THAN CRETE
Severe congestion has already been reported across a number of motorways, including the M1, M5, M6, M25 and M56.
Many faced chaos on the A303 near Stonehenge in Wiltshire.
AA president Edmund King warned yesterday the M25 was "full" as huge queues built.
And Rod Dennis of RAC Breakdown said "bumper-to-bumper bank holiday traffic" was expected, especially on the most popular holiday routes.
However, National Highways has suspended roadworks across 98 per cent of England's motorways and major A-roads for the weekend.
GRIDLOCK
The Met Office says this summer has been one of the hottest ever - despite weeks of gloomy weather.
Forecasters believe this season could potentially be in the top 10 warmest summers on record - despite a largely disappointing July and August.
The UK's mean temperature for summer is believed to be around one degree centigrade higher than average at 15.4C.
Meanwhile, a small village has officially experienced a "very localised" heatwave this week.
Tyndrum, in Stirlingshire, recorded temperatures over 25C for three consecutive days, meeting the official definition of a heatwave.
