MELAKA: A safety officer at a factory in Alor Gajah made an emergency call after discovering a beehive inside his crash helmet.
Alor Gajah Civil Defence Force (APM) operation officer Leftenan (PA) Abdul Hadi Baharom said the safety officer was about to return to his home on his motorbike at 4.25pm on Saturday when he saw a swarm of bees inside his helmet.
“The safety officer had parked his motorcycle at the factory in the morning,” he said.
Abdul Hadi said four APM personnel went to the scene and smoked the bees out of the helmet.
“We managed to complete the task by 5.15pm,” he said.
“We have cases relating to beehives on the trees and house ceilings, but this first we attended to such a peculiar case,” Abdul Hadi added.
