The resident shared the pictures of overflowing bins and rubbish piles in the seaside area.
They added people had been avoiding going into the town centre recently because of the issue.
They told CornwallLive,: "This summer has, undoubtedly, been the busiest we have seen.
"As many locals, we have avoided going down into town down to the sheer volume of people.
"[Tuesday] evening we decided to go for a walk to try and get some food.
"We were absolutely horrified at the state of the town.
"There was rubbish all over the streets and all of the bins were overflowing.
"People had stacked rubbish next to the bins that was then being attacked by seagulls and being knocked over."
