KUALA LUMPUR: All parties should stand in solidarity with the government in its efforts to address the challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The Prime Minister said that the government understands the rakyat's concern as Covid-19 cases continue to rise.

"It is true that the government is not perfect. But what is also true is that the government doesn't want the people to suffer and takes measures to save the lives and livelihoods of the people," he said in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (July 26).

"What is important is we must stand in solidarity in such difficult times. There is no need for us to bicker and point fingers at each other," added Muhyiddin.

He also urged all Malaysians to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

"Regardless of the brand, all vaccines effectively deal with the disease," he said.

He also wished and prayed for the success and safety of the Malaysian contingent at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics

"May the mission of our 64 athletes, coaches and staff, led by Datuk Lee Chong Wei, bring success for our country in the Olympic Games," he said.
