For citizens until Sept 30 and residents until Dec 30

KUWAIT CITY, May 14:In a move aimed at facilitating procedures for citizens and residents alike, the Ministry of Interior has announced an extension of the deadline for taking biometric fingerprints. This decision, disclosed today in an official statement, comes following directives from Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior.

The statement elaborated on the rationale behind the extension, citing the imperative to streamline processes and ensure the expeditious completion of necessary tasks within the security apparatus. Accordingly, the deadline for citizens to undergo biometric fingerprinting has been pushed back to September 30, 2024, while residents have until December 30, 2024, to comply with the requirement.

Furthermore, the Ministry has delineated the official locations and operational hours for biometric fingerprinting, specifying that these services will be rendered at the General Department of Criminal Evidence within the Personal Investigation Departments.

Emphasizing the importance of pre-booking appointments, the Ministry urged individuals to utilize the “Meta” platform through the “Sahel” application before visiting the designated centers. It underscored that walk-in appointments without prior scheduling will not be accommodated.

For further information and booking appointments, individuals are encouraged to refer to the official channels provided by the Ministry of Interior.
