A FATHER of two children requires the help of five adults to move him each time a kidney-related illness makes his body bloat, Sinar Harian reported.
Mohammad Rosli Yaacob’s body is “bloated” and he has been bedridden since July.
The 42-year-old’s weight increased from 90kg to 125kg, making it difficult for him to move around.
“My illness was detected last November and after treatment at a hospital, the doctor notified me that it was because of my kidneys.
“Since then, once a month, I will receive treatment at Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II in Kota Baru,” he said.
Non-governmental organisation Cempaka Merah Asnaf Solution had approached the family to donate zakat as well as food to them.
Due to his illness, Mohammad Rosli said he could no longer work as general assistant to Gual Periok state assemblyman Datuk Mohamad Awang.
The assemblyman still helps out by paying his RM400 monthly house rent.

“My wife was put into induced coma and the doctors saved the baby by performing a Caesarean delivery,” he said, adding that his wife woke up after the delivery and they were able to make a video call.
He said that was the last time he spoke to her.
