Resurfaced clip of Wagner boss on plane falling from sky

       Heightened security measures have been introduced at the entrance to the Serafimovskoe Cemetery in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

       Metal detector gates have been erected, raising eyebrows and triggering speculation about a potentially high-profile funeral being held at the cemetery.

       The Serafimovskoe Cemetery, renowned for housing the final resting places of several notable Russian figures, has rarely seen such security measures in place.

       The prevailing theory is that these security measures are in anticipation of the funeral of Yevgeny Prigozhin, Wagner Group's former chief.

       A comment by an X user who goes by HikerSask has garnered attention, describing the situation as reminiscent of a "mafia boss funeral." While such a comparison might be an exaggeration, it does reflect the air of intrigue and uncertainty that has surrounded Prigozhin's persona.

       The exact reason for the heightened security remains unconfirmed, and there is no official announcement regarding Yevgeny Prigozhin's funeral.

       Russian authorities on Sunday confirmed his death putting to rest any doubts about whether the wily mercenary leader turned mutineer was on a plane that crashed Wednesday, killing everyone on board.

       Genetic testing on the 10 bodies recovered at the crash site “conform to the manifest ” for the flight, Russian Investigative Committee spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko said in a statement.

       Russia’s civil aviation authority had said Prigozhin and some of his top lieutenants were on the list of seven passengers and three crew members.

       The Investigative Committee did not indicate what might have caused the business jet to plummet from the sky halfway between Moscow and St. Petersburg, Prigozhin's hometown.
