National Weather Service officials issued a dense fog advisory for portions of north-central and northeast Illinois in effect until noon.

       Officials warn visibility will be one quarter mile or less due to dense fog making driving conditions hazardous.

       Current morning conditions are Chicago’s airports are fog and mist at 37 degrees. A high of 35 degrees was expected Wednesday, officials said.
