       IT was their big day but the groom ended up sitting next to a laptop on the wedding dais (pelamin) as his bride was under quarantine for Covid-19, Harian Metro reported.

       Fazliana Sjafni, 28, said she tested positive on Feb 26, a day before her wedding reception in Kuala Lumpur.

       “That is why my husband had to go through the ceremony with the laptop on the dais, while I made a video call from my house,” she said.

       The couple opted to proceed with the wedding as their guests had arrived in KL a day earlier.

       The groom, Meor Izz Rasydan Darsani, said they had been planning for the wedding for almost a year.

       “I felt very sad when I had walk to the dais alone without my wife accompanying me. It was such an important day for us,” said Meor, 27.

       “My sense of taste is okay. I just have a slight sore throat,” Janna said.
