KOTA KINABALU: Sungai Manila assemblyman Mokran Ingkat sustained minor injuries following a mishap while on his way to Kota Kinabalu from Sandakan on Monday (June 28).

       Sandakan OCPD ACP Mohd Azhar Hamin said Mokran was with two others during the 4.30pm accident at Mile 26, Jalan Labuk.

       “It was raining heavily when the accident happened,” he said, adding that the driver had lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid and turn turtle.

       The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries while the other passenger, who is one of Mokran's officers, broke an arm.

       ACP Azhar said all three were taken to Sandakan's Duchess of Kent Hospital for treatment.

       Mokran and his officer had just finished a work programme and were headed towards Kota Kinabalu for a meeting prior to the mishap.
