KLANG: A residential area in Banting, Kuala Langat, was slightly flooded after heavy rain on Tuesday (March 8) because of a broken river bund.

       Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said the two areas were Jalan Emas Kanan and Jalan Tembaga in Bukit Changgang.

       “The river bund along Sungai Langat in Bukit Changgang gave way and water flowed into Jalan Tembaga.

       “We have advised the residents to move their vehicles to higher ground as well as be prepared to move in case of water rising," he said.

       He added that a team from the state Irrigation and Drainage Department was at the location repairing the damaged bund.

       Norazam also said the department was keeping a close eye on Jalan Tembaga and the nearby Jalan Emas Kanan.
