A DAD has blasted his "absolutely shambolic" ￡270,000 Taylor Wimpey home after he found 381 snags, including "burnt grass" and crooked windows.

       Stephen Porritt, 47, moved into the new build property in Newcastle with his wife Atholene, 51, and their 13-year-old daughter in March this year.

       But he says their dream home quickly "went to hell" upon the discovery of 381 snags.

       He blasted Taylor Wimpey as "the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with" over the errors, which included a lost set of patio door keys when they moved in.

       He told the Sun: "It is absolutely shambolic. It is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.

       "It's just gone to hell. People come in to do work and they make it worse.

       "People should know what they will be treated like if they're going to spend their hard earned cash with these people."

       Atholene said their garden looks like the firm "stuck a plaster on the lawn" after it was damaged by a repairman.

       Stephen said: "People come in to do work and they make it worse. They came out to clean the cement off the back wall.

       "The guy came out pulling equipment on the grass. He burnt a hole in the grass and burnt the patio. There's a stain now."

       Pictures also showed an external wall with bricks jutting out and a window that wasn't fitted straight.

       Stephen added: "The tiles had been chipped on the edges in our daughter's ensuite.

       "They tried to replace the chipped ones with different tiles."
