Two men were found dead with gunshot wounds overnight in Chicago, police said.
On Tuesday evening, a man identified as Milton Taylor, 74, by the Cook County medical examiner’s office was found in his Englewood residence unresponsive on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head, police said.
About 11:05 p.m., a family member went to his house to check on him after not hearing from him, according to a police notification. The relative saw that his front door was open.
Police say the shooting may have occurred between 7:30 p.m. Monday and 6:54 p.m. Tuesday.
No one was custody. Detectives are investigating.
Police responded Wednesday morning to a ShotSpotter alert and found a man unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his head and torso in the 1500 block of East 70th Street in Grand Crossing.
The 32-year-old man was pronounced dead on the scene. His name has not been released.
There were no witnesses and no one was in custody. Detectives are investigating
