Thomas Markle Jr's appearance on Australian Big Brother has sparked a wave of sympathy for the Duchess of Sussex. Meghan Markle's half-brother launched a stinging attack at the Duchess in a recent teaser for the reality show. In the short preview clip, Thomas calls his sister "very shallow" before going on to claim he warned Prince Harry that Meghan would "ruin his life." The remarks were slammed by the presenters and guests of Daily Pop on E! News.

       "I do feel bad for Meghan, yeah I am a big brother, said contributor Victor Cruz

       "So what big brother goes on shows at talks about their sister like that?

       "It is just shocking to me," added a fellow contributor.

       She said: "I think that is terrible."

       A new teaser for Australia's Big Brother VIP reality tv show saw Thomas Markle Jr callout Meghan Markle for being "very shallow."

       "I'm Meghan Markle's brother," Thomas said in the teaser.

       "I'm the biggest brother of them all."

       He goes on to an alleged conversation with Prince Harry in which he reportedly told the Duke: "I think [Meghan]'s going to ruin your life. She's very shallow."

       Meanwhile, TV host Christine Lampard labelled the intervention of Meghan's half-brother as "just a little bit cringe" during a chat with showbiz expert Ross King on Lorraine.

       She said: "It’s just a little bit cringe.

       "Has that made the news at all over there (America)?”

       "Yes, a little bit," replied Ross.

       "It’s starting to filter through so it will be interesting to see what comes of it and made that was the only thing he actually said.

       The showbiz expert aslo suggested it could take weeks to discover what else Thomas Markle Jr might have said about his step-sister.

       Christine concluded: "Another headache for Meghan and Harry undoubtedly."
