MADRID, May 27 (Xinhua) -- The agent of FC Barcelona's French international winger Ousmane Dembele has issued a statement insisting that nothing has so far been decided over the 25-year-old's future.

       Moussa Sissoko, the agent of Dembele, published his communique after a meeting earlier this week with Barcelona's Director of Sport Mateu Alemany ended without agreement to extend Dembele's stay at the Camp Nou Stadium.

       With his contract due to expire on June 30th, most now believe that Dembele will join Paris Saint Germain on a free transfer, but the communique refuses to shut the door on Barca.

       "Ousmane's future remains open and we are not going to go into endless speculation. We are and have always been very respectful towards all the clubs and we will continue in the same way as long as the process continues," the communique explains, adding that "when the time is right to make a decision, Ousmane will consider what is the best option for his future."

       Sissoko's communique comes after Barca president Joan Laporta said that the agent and the player had "our proposal and a date to pronounce, because there is no more margin."

       "We have been preparing the next season for a long time and it is an issue that we have blocked, because the agent does not respond to the offer," commented Laporta, who added the club's priority was to "strengthen its economy."
