Whatever happens in the England v Spain Euro 2024 final tonight, it’s obvious that many millions of us out there will be enjoying a tipple or two to help calm the nerves or just to soak in the atmosphere as we gather to back Gareth Southgate’s men.
But with the game possibly finishing as late as 11pm if there’s penalties, and most of us having work on Monday morning, there will be a lot of people nursing sore heads on Monday if they have just one too many beers either in celebration or commiseration on Sunday night - especially with pub opening hours having been extended to 1am on July 14 into July 15th.
