SHAH ALAM: Anyone who took a 5.1m-long forest green colour canoe used for flood rescue and relief are asked to contact the owner.

       While there is not much value to the old canoe compared with modern day boats, it is nonetheless a vintage model of sentimental worth.

       "It is an Old Town Discovery Sport 17. I have had it for many years and would like it back," said the owner, who asked to be known as Neo.

       Neo was out of town when the floods hit Shah Alam.

       When his friends said they needed to borrow his canoe for flood rescue and relief, he did not hesitate to let them borrow it.

       "I was told that during the rescue work, the canoe was left unattended for a short while when the rescuers took a break. It was missing when they returned," he added.

       Neo said he was told that another four boats volunteered for flood rescue had also gone missing.
