Meghan Markle missed out on the chance to reclaim a leading role within the Royal Family with her repeated attacks on the institution, an expert has claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex kicked off her new life away from the institution with a series of interviews in which she denounced the treatment she and Prince Harry allegedly received from royal aides and senior members of the family.

The couple have since been trying to establish themselves as independent entrepreneurs in Hollywood but they have often relied on their royal connection to attract the interest of potential investors and the public.
Their strategy, however, has exacerbated the chasm between the couple and the Royal Family – and effectively reduced the chances of Harry and Meghan being called upon as the institution experiences a difficult period, according to commentator Kinsey Schofield.
The American reporter argued the Duke and Duchess have now been forced to turn their lives into "reality TV" for their Netflix deal and flogging a new lifestyle brand to win over support.

Speaking to GB News, Schofield said: "She's probably really disappointed in what's happened over the last few years.
“That's a reality for her, and what's so sad about looking at everything that's happened within the British Royal Family since the beginning of 2024, is that - have Harry and Meghan truly been compassionate? Had they been patient?
“They could have saved the day in 2024…because they would have been able to step up to the plate and take on work for the Princess of Wales and King Charles.
“But unfortunately, instead of doing that, Meghan is selling jam.”
The Royal Family suffered a series of considerable blows in quick succession since the start of the new year.
