YONG PENG: A man died on the spot in an accident at KM85, North-South Expressway southbound near here.

       Yong Peng Fire and Rescue station chief Asyraf Nur Mohd Yusoff said the incident took place on Tuesday (March 8) at 6.24pm.

       He said one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicle and an Emergency Medical Response Services vehicle were deployed to the scene.

       “Six firemen from the Yong Peng Fire and Rescue station were involved in the operations led by operations commander Noor Rashid Mohd Tugirin,’’ Asyraf said in a statement.

       He said the victim was pinned in the driver’s seat of a car.

       Asyraf said the victim was pronounced dead by the paramedic team from the Health Ministry.

       He said the body was handed over to the police for further action and the operations ended at 8.01pm.
