MP queries about total number of schools ready to receive students

       KUWAIT CITY, Nov 28: MP Marzouq Al-Khalifa has forwarded queries to Minister of Education Ali Fahd Al- Mudhaf, Minister of Health Dr Basel Al-Sabah, Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Information Technology Affairs Rana Al-Fares, and Minister of Electricity and Water and Renewable Energy Meshaan Al-Otaibi. He asked Al-Mudhaf about the total number of schools that are ready to receive students in different stages and when the new schools will open. He asked Al-Fares if her ministry has a plan to connect Abdullah Mubarak to the Fifth and Sixth Ring Roads. If yes, he wants to know the date of implementation. He asked Al-Otaibi about the date of fl oating the tender for supplying and installing electricity poles in Abdullah Mubarak and value of the tender.

       He asked Dr Basel Al-Sabah about the number of clinics and health centers established in Abdullah Mubarak, how many are ready to receive patients, and the date of opening the clinics which are still under construction. MP Thamer Al-Suwait asked Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Muhammad why the government did not execute the recommendations regarding public freedom as per the report of the Human Rights Committee at the United Nations (UN).

       Amending

       He pointed out the government did not submit any bills on amending the relevant laws; such as Public Meetings and Gatherings Law No. 65/1979, Cyber Crimes Law No. 63/2015, and Print and Publishing Law No. 3/2006. He inquired if the government studied the recommendations, steps taken in this regard, and strategy to enforce the sustainable development policy for 2030. He also forwarded queries to Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Nazaha Enhancement Abdullah Al-Roumi about the number of individuals convicted in opinion cases or because of their posts on social media since the ratification of the aforementioned laws.
