BATU PAHAT: Police will be calling up the caretakers and workers of a temple in Kampung Sungai Suluh, Mukim 9 here to help with investigations into allegations that the Jalur Gemilang had been flown upside down at the temple.
Batu Pahat deputy OCPD Supt Izzudin Rungai said the police received a report on the matter on Monday (Aug 30) at about 12.20pm.
"However, upon visiting the scene, our investigations found that the flag had been rectified.
"We will be calling the temple caretaker and workers to help with the investigation," he said in a statement.
He added that the case is being investigated under Section 504 of the Penal Code for the intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of peace and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act for insulting behaviour.
