PETALING JAYA: Shops selling computers, telecommunication devices, books and stationery can now open for business throughout the National Recovery Plan.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the new ruling would be effective today.

“This allowance has been granted after taking into account feedback from students, parents and teachers and is to ensure remote learning can be conducted smoothly.

“The National Security Council has also agreed to allow movement of students to and from enhanced movement control order areas for exam purposes, on condition that police permission is obtained,” he said, adding that the ruling included professional exams.

Three localities in Sabah and three in Perak will undergo an enhanced MCO from tomorrow until July 30.

Three more localities currently under the enhanced MCO, including one at a factory and a workers’ dormitory in Taiping, Perak, will see an extension until July 30.
