PETALING JAYA: Of 1,758 adverse events following immunisation (AEFI) reports received between Feb 1 and Feb 18, a total of 595 reports were received and reported as suspected AEFI death cases.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said however that it should be noted that these were just the number of reports received, which require further investigation and evaluation.
"All serious AEFI reports including death cases will be thoroughly investigated by the respective facility and evaluated for causality by the Jawatankuasa Farmakovigilans Khas Vaksin Covid-19 (JFK).
"Out of the 595 reports, 443 of them have been evaluated completely by the JFK," he told reporters on Thursday (Feb 24).
He said no causal association has been determined at this point.
"Another 152 reports are still pending for complete investigation," he said.
