PETALING JAYA: Thaipusam celebrations this year are a quieter affair as devotees comply with strict standard operating procedures due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

       The colourful and vibrant celebration has been scaled down, for the second consecutive year, much to the disappointment of many.

       Only “paal koodam” bearers, carrying milk pots, along with the chariot procession, were allowed, albeit at a limited scale.
