PETALING JAYA: Improving the air ventilation system in the office could save employers money.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, in a tweet on Friday (Feb 11), said that companies that upgrade their office's ventilation systems qualify for tax deductions under Budget 2022.
“If you need to call for physical meetings, make sure you have improved ventilation in your office.
“You can qualify for a tax deduction for upgrading your office ventilation system. This incentive is extended until the end of the year,” he tweeted.
In November last year, the government extended the eligibility period until Dec 31, 2022, for tax deductions of up to RM300,000 to cover the cost of renovating and refurbishing business premises so that it complies with requirements on ventilation and customer seating.
