A Maryland man died after a Friday crash in Damascus.

       Montgomery County police said the crash involved three vehicles and happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 24300 block of Ridge Road, a few miles from Frederick Road.

       An initial investigation found that the victim — who was later identified as Sagar Yogeshkumar Rami, 29, of Owings Mills — was driving a Toyota Corolla south on Ridge Road near Kings Valley Road when he crossed the centerline and sideswiped a Honda Pilot that was headed in the opposite direction. He then hit a another vehicle, a Toyota Sienna, that was headed north on Ridge Road.

       The Honda driver and two passengers in that vehicle were not hurt. The driver of the Toyota Sienna was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition, police said.

       The crash remains under investigation.
