KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Rubber Council (MRC) has announced the appointment of Dr Daroyah Alwi (pic)as its first chairwoman, replacing Raja Datuk Idris Raja Kamarudin, effective since Oct 1, 2021.

       Chief executive officer Nurul Islam Mohamed Yusoff said the appointment marked a significant milestone as the MRC is being led by a woman for the first time since its establishment 20 years ago. — Bernama
