PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry is working on a few solutions to address the issue of the check-out feature on the MySejahtera application.
Its minister Khairy Jamaluddin said that many people have commented on the feature recently.
"I would be sleeping in the shopping mall if it is based on my check-out history, because I forgot to check-out.
"So, we are looking at several best solutions to ensure that the
check-out feature can be used more effectively," he told a press conference here on Friday (Sept 24).
He was asked whether there will be improvements for the check-out feature, including a reminder notification when a person leaves a premises.
Khairy also admitted that the compliance for the check-out feature was a bit difficult.
"In terms of behaviour, not everyone will use the check-out feature via MySejahtera once they leave a premises," he added.
"In terms of intention, it is to get more accurate information on your location.
"So, the intention is there and good, but in terms of implementation, it can be improved," said Khairy.
The check-out feature on MySejahtera was among the major updates on the application, which is aimed to help improve contact tracing.
