Police have confirmed they are investigating the cause of a chemical leak in west London.
Officers were called to the residential property in Landridge Road, Fulham at about 12.44am this morning after reports of a fire.
A Met Police spokesman said: Officers attended alongside colleagues in LFB. Ten people were treated at the scene after being exposed to an unknown chemical substance. They were taken to hospital. Their conditions await.
"A number of road closures were put in place as a safety precaution. They have since been opened. An investigation is ongoing to establish the cause of the fire."
Speaking from the scene, London Fire Brigade Station Commander Graham Crow, said: "This is a protracted incident and crews will be remaining on scene for several hours. Motorists are advised to avoid the area to avoid traffic congestion."
The LFS was called at 12.35am, Mr Crow said Fire crews from Fulham, Wandsworth, Euston, Bethnal Green, Hammersmith, Kensington, Battersea and Chiswick fire stations are in attendance.
