MELAKA: The parties under Perikatan Nasional have agreed to the Chief Minister-designate that was proposed, says Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali.
The Perikatan election director said Gerakan and PAS, which are coalition partners, have agreed to the Chief Minister-designate that was proposed.
He said that Perikatan has already suggested the name of an individual as the Melaka Chief Minister candidate if the coalition comes into power after the Nov 20 polls
"The Chief Minister will be from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia and we are now focusing on winning the polls without delving into who is going to be the Chief Minister," he said after visiting Melaka on Tuesday (Nov 16).
Azmin said Perikatan chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had also made the same announcement, recently.
He said Perikatan is keen to disseminate information to voters as the coalition has fielded new faces in the state election.
"These candidates are unable to reach out to voters due to the new norms adapted in the polls," he added.
