The funny clip has had TikTok users in stitches. The pup's owner presents her with the cheese slice and instructs her to take a small bite.

       But as fellow dog owners will know, it’s a mistake she’s unlikely to make again.

       The owner even gives the pooch specific instructions, showing how much she wants them to bite, before offering out the cheese.

       But it soon disappears as the greedy golden retriever gobbles up the entire slice, much to her owner's dismay.

       She even makes a late attempt to pull the food back, but it’s far too late.

       The cheese thief has had the internet laughing.

       The hilarious clip, which was uploaded by TikTok user @itsjazzymf, was a smash hit on the video sharing platform, with over two million views and over 330,000 likes.

       Viewers were clearly amused by the video, with one commenting: “I can’t stop laughing. That dog is so earnest! He’s like ‘ok...am I doing it right’.”

       Another commenter wrote: “Clearly this was the fault of the cheese!”

       A third added: “I love how you thought about trying to take it back for a second.”
