KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis Bhd strengthened its position as the country’s leading converged solutions company with the acqui-hire of Peering One Sdn Bhd.

       It said Peering One is a Malaysian-based cloud solutions company specialising in hybrid and private cloud managed services.

       “The acqui-hire reinforces Maxis’ capabilities as a one stop, end-to-end cloud solutions provider, with complete cloud offerings that address the full spectrum of business needs,” it said.

       Maxis explained the acqui-hire of Peering One was because of its pool of strong cloud professional specialists, customer base and market position, which will further boost Maxis’ capacity and capabilities to offer best-in-class private and hybrid cloud solutions.

       Peering One has more than 10 years’ experience in providing managed cloud and ICT services to enterprise customers across Malaysia.

       This is Maxis’ second acqui-hire in the cloud space, following the successful integration of Infrastructure Consulting & Managed Services (ICMS), a Microsoft gold business partner with strong competencies across Azure cloud solutions, modern workplace and security, in April 2020.
