KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor (pic) has voiced his gratitude to all who have helped the community in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said many non-governmental organisations, corporate bodies and individuals had stepped up to help the needy, regardless of race and religion.
“This shows that we are living in a loving and caring community, where we help each other in times of difficulty despite our differences,” he said at the state-level Maal Hijrah celebrations held virtually yesterday.
If there was one positive thing that had come out of the pandemic, he said it would be the exploration by various sectors into going digital.
“We need to prepare ourselves to move into Industrial Revolution 4.0, where we will see more creative and highly skilled individuals in various sectors,” he said.
He also took the opportunity to wish Muslims a blessed Maal Hijrah and urged them to live their lives according to Islamic teachings as best as they could.
