KOTA KINABALU: Sabah is grateful to all those who have helped the community during the Covid-19 pandemic, says Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

       He said many including non-governmental organisations, corporate bodies and individuals have stepped up to help the needy, regardless of race and religion.

       “This shows that we are living in a loving and caring community, where we help each other in times of difficulty despite our differences,” he said when officiating the state-level Maal Hijrah celebration virtually on Tuesday (Aug 10).

       Earlier, he said one positive aspect of the pandemic has been the digital exploration of various sectors.

       “We need to prepare ourselves to move into the Industrial Revolution 4.0, where we will see more creative and highly-skilled individuals in various sectors,” he said.

       He also took the opportunity to wish Muslims a blessed Maal Hijrah and urged them to live their lives according to Islamic teachings the best they could.
