KUALA LUMPUR: The issue of teachers appointed in June 2020 on a contract of service due to expire next month will be resolved speedily, says Education Minister Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin (pic).

       He said in Facebook and Twitter posts on Wednesday (May 4) that the teachers' concerns about their contracts was raised by commenters on his social media accounts recently and drew his attention.

       He then gave instructions for the matter to be given immediate attention and a resolution found quickly, he added.

       "The Education Ministry and Education Service Commission are taking appropriate action in accordance with rules and procedures,” he said.

       He added that an announcement would be made once the process was completed.

       He added that the ministry was concerned about the issues raised by the community about education. and was committed to doing its best for the country’s future generations. – Bernama
