SINGAPORE – Train services on the North-South Line (NSL), East-West Line (EWL), Circle Line (CCL) and Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) will be extended for commuters travelling late on Oct 30, the eve of Deepavali.

       Some bus services will also run till later than usual that night, operator SMRT said in a statement on Oct 17.

       The last NSL and EWL trains will depart from City Hall station at 12.30am on Oct 31, while the last CCL trains will depart HarbourFront station at 11.30pm, and Dhoby Ghaut station at 11.55pm on Oct 30.

       The last TEL trains on the eve of Deepavali will leave Woodlands North station and Bayshore station at midnight and 12.12am on Oct 31, respectively.

       There will however be no extension for Bukit Panjang LRT services and EWL trains that run between the Tanah Merah and Changi Airport stations.

       Additionally, 18 SMRT bus services will also run later.

       They are: 300, 301, 302, 307, 983A, 901, 911, 912A, 912B, 913, 920, 922, 973A, 181, 240, 241, 243G and 974A.

       The last buses for services 181, 240, 241 and 243G will leave Boon Lay Interchange at 1.20am, while services 300, 301, 302, 307 and 983A will leave Choa Chu Kang Interchange at 1.40am. Service 974A will leave from opposite Choa Chu Kang interchange, also at 1.40am.

       Services 901, 911, 912A, 912B and 913 will leave the Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub at 1.25am, which is the time that services 920, 922 and 973A will depart Bukit Panjang Interchange.

       On Oct 16, transport provider SBS Transit announced the extension of selected bus and train services on Oct 30, on train lines such as the North East Line and the Downtown Line.
