PETALING JAYA: Kelington Group Bhd has bagged RM420mil job from a United States company that has a manufacturing hub in Sama Jaya Free Industrial Zone in Sarawak.

       In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Kelington said its wholly-owned subsidiary Kelington Technologies Sdn Bhd has won the construction contract from a manufacturing company in Kuching.

       The job scope included construction work with respect to their Sarawak expansion project.

       “The manufacturing company is owned by a US multinational company, a world-leading developer, manufacturer, and provider of data storage devices and solutions,” it said.

       “The work is to start in mid-September 2021 and expected to be completed by Dec 31, 2022,” said Kelington, an engineering solutions provider.

       The group expects the contract to contribute positively to its earnings and net assets for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2022, and Dec 31, 2023.
