PETALING JAYA: A total of 82.5% of adult Malaysians have completed their Covid-19 vaccinations as of Friday (Sept 24), says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).
It added in a series of posts on its official Twitter account that this amounts to 19,311,563 people and also said that 93.6% of all adult Malaysians - or 21,903,061 people - have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
JKJAV also reported that a total of 273,373 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered in the country on Friday.
Of this total, 116,881 people received the first dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine, while 156,492 completed their inoculations by getting either the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or a single dose jab.
Selangor saw the most people receiving their first dose with 21,514 jabs given, followed by Sabah (19,920), Perak (11,322), Kedah (8,675) and Kuala Lumpur (7,925).
Johor led the way for completed inoculations with 28,955 doses administered, followed by Perak (23,368), Pahang (17,074), Sabah (14,674) and Kuala Lumpur (13,861).
