KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) has been slapped with a RM20,000 compound for standard operating procedure violations.
Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Aidi Ismail said the incident occurred on Dec 3 and the offence was a lack of physical distancing among members present at PBB headquarters.
The compound notice was issued on Dec 7.
Police said it was the highest compound notice issued since nomination day on Dec 6, according to Dayak Daily.
Several other election operations rooms were issued compound notices for SOP violations.
On Sunday (Dec 12), the Gabungan Parti Sarawak operations room for the Ngemah seat was slapped with a RM1,000 compound notice for failing to observe social distancing.
