PETALING JAYA: KAJ Development Sdn Bhd is tying up with the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (Diez) to collaborate on the Melaka Gateway project on Pulau Satu (PME1).

       In a statement yesterday, KAJ Development, the master developer of the RM43bil Melaka Gateway project, said it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Diez in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in conjunction with the Expo 2020 Dubai.

       “The historical deal will see both parties collaborating in the investment and operation of the proposed free trade zone at PME1 of the Melaka Gateway. The proposed Melaka Gateway Free Trade Zone is expected to turn Melaka Gateway into a dynamic business hub for global trade,” said KAJ.

       Separately, KAJ Development said it had also signed two other MoUs. One of the MoUs was with MG Velocity Sdn Bhd, X Infinity Property Sdn Bhd and Total Group Bhd.

       The companies will join hands for the development of the Melaka international cruise terminal at PME1.
