KUANTAN: Sections of the Kuala Lumpur - Karak Highway (KLK) and the East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (LPT1) are currently impassable due to flooding and landslides.
Concessionaire ANIH Berhad said only the KLK route from Genting heading towards Gombak was passable as at 9am Sunday (DEC 19) with all other routes blocked after KM66.
From Kuantan, only the road leading towards the Temerloh interchange was passable.
"For now, most routes are still blocked and users can get current information on alternative routes through the Pahang Public Works Department.
"The company is always committed to ensuring the safety and comfort of highway users. For that, repair works in the affected areas will be carried out immediately," ANIH Berhad said in a statement.
The concessionaire added that those stranded on the highway would be rendered assistance such as food and drinks by staff members.
