       Amazon Web Services Inc.'s (AWS) cloud services are undergoing connectivity issues in Japan, the U.S. company said in an announcement on the morning of Sept. 2. It also said it is investigating the issue's cause.

       As a result of the AWS failure, customers with major online securities companies including SBI Securities Co. and Rakuten Securities Inc. had trouble logging into services on the morning of Sept. 2.
