       THE son of former Padang Serai MP Karupaiya Mutusami was given the honour of launching a building named after his late father in Kulim, Kedah, Makkal Osai reported.

       K. Gunaseelan opened a new wing of the Kulim Hindu Sabha, which was formed in 1964, in the presence of members and dignitaries.

       Sabha chairman K. Selladurai said the new wing was named after the late MP to remember his contributions to the community.

       He said after a meeting in 2019, the late MP helped them get state funding for various works, including upgrading a Hindu cemetery.

       The late MP also donated around RM27,000 and promised more assistance before his death.
